The Nelson County Community Development Foundation was founded in 1985 with the goal to foster and promote community development that primarily benefits low- and moderate-income citizens of Nelson County. Our primary focus is housing, but we have and can assist the community in the realms of health, water and wastewater, recreation, education and economic development.

OUR IMPACT

We are a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1985 to alleviate some of the pressing housing needs in Nelson County.  We continue to assist as many low- and moderate-income households as we possibly can every year.

“Having been told about NCCDF from a friend, I contacted them for help with my crawl space in my 1960s home. Being single and on a fixed income, I found the whole process terrifyingly daunting, but they fixed it and made the situation so much easier for me. I cannot thank them enough for helping me look after my home.”
