St. James Place Becomes a Reality

With 10 days to spare, we surpassed the Perry Foundation matching challenge of $65,000. Thanks to the generosity of 96 individual donors who contributed $44,457, along with nine grants totaling $22,000, we raised an incredible $66,457.

We cannot adequately express our gratitude to everyone who supported this effort. More than 70 donors made gifts in honor of our friend, Tim Hess, who tragically passed away last November. It is both deeply moving and bittersweet to thank his wife and family for their thoughtfulness and generosity during such a difficult time.

At Tim’s memorial service, his son reminded us of what Tim would have wanted: for us to live each moment to the fullest and to be generous with one another. What an extraordinary legacy to leave behind.

And now, we are thrilled to share that the apartments are complete. We have the certificates of occupancy in hand, leases have been signed, and residents have moved in. A few final landscaping details remain—planting trees and shrubs and adding railroad ties along the parking areas—but the apartment project itself is finished.

Thank you for standing with us throughout this journey. Your support, encouragement, and belief in this project helped make it possible. As we celebrate this milestone, we are already turning our attention to new initiatives that we look forward to sharing with you soon.
