NCCDF Receives Grant from the Nelson County Youth Philanthropy Council
Nelson County High School senior, Christian Proctor, announces the recipients of the Youth Philanthropy Council grants
We are so happy to announce that we received a $3,500 grant from the Nelson County Youth Philanthropy Council (as a project of the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge). This grant is our first match to the Perry Foundation's $65,000. With their generous donation, we are that much closer to having new affordable rentals in Nelson. It's great to see that Nelson teenagers realize the importance and need for adequate housing choices for families.
What an inspiring and impactful story! It’s incredible how the students at Nelson County High School not only understand the pressing needs of their community, but are also taking meaningful steps to address them. Their involvement in securing a grant like that shows such maturity and commitment to social responsibility. It’s clear that the future of the community is in good hands with young people like them leading the charge.
Thank you, YPC!
