NCCDF Receives $65,000 Grant from Perry Foundation for Affordable Housing in Roseland

Roseland apartment concept

The Nelson County Community Development Foundation (NCCDF) is moving forward with the construction of two affordable duplexes in Roseland, thanks in part to a new $65,000 grant from the Perry Foundation. This support adds to over $520,000 in funding already secured from HUD’s HOME American Rescue Plan and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission.

The project includes four 2-bedroom rental units that will be owned and managed by NCCDF and made available at affordable rates to local families. With engineering, environmental, and cultural assessments complete, construction is set to begin soon, and the modular homes are expected to be installed this year.

The Perry Foundation’s grant requires a matching amount in non-governmental funds, so NCCDF is launching a fundraising campaign to raise the remaining $65,000 needed to complete the project. Community members are encouraged to donate or join the apartment waitlist through provided links below.

Let the building—and the fundraising—begin!
