Construction is NOT Cheap so we could really use your help!
It's too superstitious to think that when I said I was sick of snow, that the clouds heard me and dumped the worst, heaviest, iciest snow ever and delay this project even more, but that's is exactly what it felt like. So, I will not be mentioning weather again!
We are not too much further along on the project than were were in the last update, unfortunately, in terms of finishing building them (thanks to that weather) and raising money to match our grant. We are just under 50% of the match which is a great achievement. Thank you so much to all who have given so far! Every dollar that you give means 2 dollars toward finishing this project and providing 4 new, affordable rentals for Nelson families.
What will my $1 do, you might ask? The grant we requested was $65,000 and we have to match that amount, so the whole amount we are hoping to get from our fundraising efforts is $130,000. That almost but not quite covers all the costs we have had for fees and the well and the septic systems (not including the hook up fees for connecting to the Piney River system - the County waived our fees for that!) and engineering. That’s the extra amount of money to get it done. And with anything, every little bit helps. Every dollar you can donate to this will allow us to be that much closer to helping families find an affordable place to rent.
Please donate to help us and match your donation today.
Thank you!
