A Sad End to 2025

We are ending the year with some sad news. Our friend and supporter of NCCDF, Timothy C. Hess, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 with his family present at the age of 76. Tim lived in Nelson County for 50 years with his beautiful wife, Lynne, where they raised their three children. He was a kind and thoughtful man and a great asset to the Nelson community. We will miss him greatly.

Tim's family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Nelson County Community Development Foundation. We are honored and touched by their thoughtfulness. Tim and his family have supported affordable housing in Nelson for years and have helped as much as possible with support for low- to middle-income families. 

Your donation to the Timothy C. Hess Memorial Fund will help us match the $65,000 Perry Foundation grant that is helping bring affordable housing to life with the St. James Place Apartments. These four, affordable rentals will be available in the coming months to low-income families.
